Globally, covid-19 has touched more than 3 million confirmed cases and 2 lacks death toll. Each day, news of more deaths is distressing to people. The World Health Organization is continuously monitoring and responding to this outbreak. At the initial, they stated some possible symptoms of Covid-19 like dry cough, Fever, and Shortness of breath or difficulty in breathing.
However, in recent investigation, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (1) have added 6 new symptoms of COVID-19. The symptoms include,
- Severe chills
- Repeated shaking with chills
- Muscle pain
- Sore throat, and
- New loss of taste or smell
These symptoms of Covid-19 appear in 2 to 14 days after exposure, ranging from mild to severe, even cause death. However anyone can get infected with COVID-19 and become seriously ill. Even people with very mild symptoms of COVID-19 can transmit the virus. The older or the people with existing chronic medical conditions are at greater risk of becoming seriously ill with COVID-19.
The symptoms concluded are not all inclusive. People of all ages who experience fever, cough and difficulty breathing should seek immediate medical attention.
